With our leadership scan, you can quickly and powerfully screen for leadership profiles. The Leadership Scan focuses on several core competencies so that you can quickly gain a better understanding of someone’s potential as a leader. The core competencies come from both self-evaluation questionnaires and skill tests, as competencies always revolve around a combination of willingness and ability. In addition to the core competencies, the scan report provides a personality profile with a complete Big Five overview and a synthesis of the notable personality traits that you can further zoom in on during an interview.
Target audience
The Leadership Scan can be used for leadership positions such as team manager, senior manager, c‑level management positions and even for project managers.
Core competencies
- Social insight as a leader: leaders must be able to respond appropriately to problem situations in the workplace and can have either a task-oriented or a more socially focused approach.
- Being able to manage and motivate a team is crucial for a leader.
- The personality traits of vision, dominance, and initiative are important for developing policies and taking initiatives with authority.
Competency profiles
For a thorough screening of your managerial profiles, use our competency profiles. These are in-depth tests based on the key competencies for managerial positions. Measurements from relevant tests are combined to form a score per competency. For example, for the position of project manager, the competency “planning” consists of measurements from three tests: a personality questionnaire, a planning test, and a leadership test. For each competency, you receive a composite score that is more reliable and easier to interpret than the individual test measurements.
In addition to the standard competencies, you can easily add specific professional skills for each position, such as language proficiency, knowledge of the Office suite, or technical insight. The results of these additional competencies will also appear in the competency report in a separate overview.

Core Competencies
The theme profile for managerial roles is based on Quinn* and colleagues’ values model, which assumes the axes of Collaborating versus Competing and Creating versus Controlling. We indicate which of the eight managerial roles characterises the candidates and how the “match” is with the other roles.
The report also focuses on crucial competencies for leadership positions and provides suggestions regarding strengths, development points, and career opportunities. You will also receive tips for interview questions.
